Module 9 x 9
2025 Spring
Located in Trumansburg, New York, the site sits adjacent to an existing manufactured housing community. The project proposes an affordable, incremental housing solution ranging from individual housing design to a neighborhood-scale scheme that responds to both local context and long-term residential needs.
Drawing inspiration from prefab and modular residential typologies, the design reimagines mass production as a means of delivering adaptable housing. The system allows for phased expansion and a wide range of customization, accommodating diverse household sizes and changing lifestyles over time.
In response to the region’s manufacturing capacity, the project develops a modular framework that reinterprets conventional manufactured housing models into a flexible and scalable residential system.
