White Pocket Visitor Center

2022 FALL

White Pocket is a captivating geological wonder in Arizona, renowned for its pocket-shaped Navajo sandstone formations and undulating marble layers.

The proposed visitor center responds to the essence of this landscape, where two contrasting patterns—the blockiness of the pockets and the linearity of the marbles—intersect in harmony. The structure embodies this dramatic merger.

Nestled within a valley, the design facilitates seamless traversal across the terrain while minimizing interference with the circulation below, integrating itself with the backdrop.
